What is involved with a vehicle inspection before an event? Print E-mail

Your vehicle must be checked for safety reasons. Some of the more common items checked for would include but are not limited to:

Loose wheel bearings

Cracked rims

Non-binding throttle return spring.

Battery is mounted securely, with no forcible motion (Bungee cords are unacceptable).

All fluid reservoirs are properly capped. (no signs of excessive fluids being leaked on the track)

Brake pedal must be firm.

Minimal steering wheel play.

Secure seat with unfrayed and serviceable restraints.

Your personal helmet must meet Snell 90 or better ratings.

Removal of loose items within the cabin (includes floor mats, and items hung from mirrors), and trunk.

NOTE! Have your vehicle empty of loose items BEFORE you enter grid!
